CareerStaff Unlimited, a division of Genesis HealthCare, is looking to add an outgoing, driven, organized, and competitive Market Manager to our growing CareerStaff Rx team in Pleasanton, CA! This role requires a professional and personable individual who has a passion for providing exceptional customer service to both our clients and candidate pool as well as an energetic, driven, and positive personality. Our ideal candidate must have experience in recruiting/account management, preferably in healthcare and self-sufficient to manage oneself with little supervision.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Market Manager accomplishes business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and implementing sales plans. The Market Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating market activities and relationship initiatives within the assigned marketplace. The Market Manager collaboratively implements business strategy, directs staff, and facilitates a work environment which achieves business results through consistent quality practice and company standards.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identifies marketing opportunities based on customer needs, defining the market, understanding competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses. Improves marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities by improving service packaging and coordinating new lines of business.
  • Monitors and engages the local healthcare staffing market on a weekly basis through marketing and sales activities, recruiting, competitive analysis, client interactions, and other initiatives as appropriate. Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities.
  • Develops and implements sales plans based on marketing and sales financial objectives. Projects expected sales volume and profit for existing and new lines of business through analyzing trends and results. Responsible for monitoring costs.
  • Negotiates contracts, establishes pricing strategies and recommended selling prices in accordance with CareerStaff policies and guidelines. Complete Requests for Proposals, as needed. 
  • Assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the location to include, but not limited to, human resources, accounts payable, payroll, billing, accounts receivable, clinical, legal, and compliance functions.  Maintains regularly scheduled business office hours and insures the office is staffed according to CareerStaff guidelines.
  • Provides leadership and supervision to office staff in the branch.  Interviews, hires, develops, manages performance and progressive discipline as needed in collaboration with the Area Manager/Director.  Ensures positive employee relations and resolves any staff issues or grievances.
  • Develops and implements recruiting plans to achieve staffing goals.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations related to all business practices.    
  • Performs other duties as requested.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with all levels of management, staff and clients.
  • Must display a professional approach and be a team player.  
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office products (WORD, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as applicant tracking software and social media tools such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Ability to establish and achieve goals, prioritize and perform multiple functions and tasks. 
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and positive attitude.
  • Demonstrates sense of urgency in completing assignments.
 
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • A minimum of one year of management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other business related field
  • 1+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in healthcare
  • 2+ years of sales/account management experience, preferably in Healthcare
